What it is and to whom it applies

Qualyment designs sampling plans for food industries, based on a risk analysis so that more resources are allocated to analyze more those products that may pose a greater risk of contamination. This helps companies to invest resources for analysis more effectively and consistently.

Our sampling plans include all the parameters applicable to each sector established by EU legislation, and those of the countries of destination of the products, as well as specific customer criteria:

  • Microbiological parameters
  • Contaminants
  • Physico-chemical parameters
  • Aflatoxins
  • Etc

In addition, for each period under study, a trend analysis is carried out so that the sampling plan is adjusted, and the number of samples to be taken can even be reduced.

Said samples can be taken by the client himself, by independent laboratories or by Qualyment staff, who follow appropriate sampling procedures that guarantee the homogeneity of the departure and avoid contaminating the sample.

Any sampling plan includes a sampling procedure and the decision criteria to be applied to the lot, based on the examination of the prescribed number of sample units and subsequent analytical units of the size indicated in the determined methods.
